Terms of Use.

1. About Evenly

Evenly (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a service offered through evenlymentalload.com. Evenly analyses chat conversations between partners to identify patterns in how invisible work, such as planning, coordinating, anticipating, and deciding, is distributed within a relationship.

Evenly is operated by Pulse Analytics, registered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, KvK registration number 42018419.

2. What You Get

When you use Evenly, you receive:

• A full analysis report based on your uploaded chat conversation, delivered to you by email as a PDF and shown once in your browser
• Access to the Evenly Toolkit: practical resources for starting a constructive conversation with your partner
• One free re-analysis after 90 days

The price is €14.99, charged as a one-time payment. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges.

Keep your report email safe. For privacy reasons we do not store your full report on our systems, which means we cannot resend it. The email you receive is the only copy. Your numerical results and the toolkit remain accessible through your personal link for 12 months after purchase.

3. This Is Not Therapy

Evenly is not a substitute for couples therapy, psychological counselling, or professional relationship advice. The report identifies patterns in your messages. It does not diagnose, treat, or assess mental health.

If you or your partner are in a situation involving domestic abuse or coercive control, or if you feel unsafe in your relationship, please contact a professional support service. Evenly is not designed for those situations and should not be used as evidence in legal or custody proceedings.

4. Payment & Refunds

Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment details.

Evenly supplies digital content that is not delivered on a tangible medium and that is delivered to you immediately after the analysis is completed. Under Article 6:230p(g) of the Dutch Civil Code (based on Directive 2011/83/EU), your right of withdrawal expires once delivery has begun, provided you have expressly agreed to this in advance. By ticking the box at checkout and uploading your chat, you give that express consent and confirm that you understand you are waiving your right of withdrawal.

If you experience a technical error that prevents delivery of your report, contact us at hello@evenlymentalload.com. We will resolve the issue or offer a full refund.

5. Uploading Your Conversation

This is the most important section of these terms. Please read it carefully.

5.1 What you upload

You upload a chat export from WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal (.txt, .json, .xml, or the original .zip file, maximum 10 MB). This file contains messages between you and your partner. The conversation may be in any language.

5.2 Your responsibility

By uploading a conversation, you confirm that:

• You are one of the two participants in the conversation
• You have a legitimate interest in understanding the distribution of invisible work in your relationship
• You understand that the other person in the conversation has not given separate consent for this upload
• You will not upload conversations involving anyone other than you and your partner
• You intend to use the report constructively, not to manipulate, control, or harm your partner

5.3 Your partner’s privacy

We take your partner’s privacy seriously, even though they have not directly interacted with Evenly. Here is how we protect them:

• The uploaded conversation is processed solely to generate your report. It is not read by any person.
• The raw chat file is never stored. It is processed in memory and erased immediately after your messages are parsed, within the same request.
• Neither your name nor your partner’s name is stored in our database. Only numerical scores are kept.
• We do not create profiles, build databases, or store personal details about your partner separately.
• The full report, which contains names and selected quotes, is delivered only to you and is not retained on our systems.
• If your partner contacts us and requests removal of their data, we will honour that request.

We rely on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) as the legal basis for processing your partner’s messages. This means we have weighed the benefit of the analysis against your partner’s privacy rights and concluded that the processing is proportionate, given the safeguards above. 5.4 What you must not upload

Do not upload conversations that include:

• Messages from group chats or conversations with people other than your partner
• Content involving minors (children’s messages)
• Conversations you have no right to access (e.g. from a partner’s device without their knowledge)

We reserve the right to refuse service or delete uploads that violate these rules.

6. How We Handle Your Data

A detailed description of how we collect, store, and process personal data is provided in our separate Privacy Policy. Here is a summary relevant to these terms:

• Your chat export is transmitted securely (encrypted in transit) and processed entirely in memory. The raw file is never written to disk or database and is erased immediately after parsing.
• The analysis is performed automatically, using the Anthropic API under strict commercial terms (no model training, automatic deletion within 7 days). No human reads your messages.
• Your full report is not stored on our systems. It is delivered to you by email and shown once in your browser.
• Only numerical scores, dimension data, and your questionnaire responses are stored, and these are automatically deleted 12 months after purchase.

We use the following third-party services to operate Evenly: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database, hosted in the EU), Anthropic (analysis), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (hosting and cookieless analytics). Each of these services processes data on our behalf under appropriate agreements.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on evenlymentalload.com, including text, design, the Evenly Toolkit, and report templates, is owned by Evenly or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or resell any part of the service or its outputs.

Your report is generated for your personal, private use. You may share it with your partner. You may not publish it publicly or use it commercially.

8. Limitation of Liability

Evenly provides pattern analysis based on your messages. We do our best to make the analysis accurate and useful, but we cannot guarantee that it captures every nuance of your relationship.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Evenly is not liable for any decisions you or your partner make based on the report.
• Evenly is not liable for any relationship outcomes that follow from using the service.
• Evenly is not liable for loss of your report if you delete or lose the delivery email. We cannot regenerate or resend it, because we do not keep a copy.
• Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid (€14.99).

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the website. Continued use of Evenly after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law & Disputes

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. If you are a consumer within the EU, this does not affect your right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.

These terms were drafted in Dutch and translated into English. In case of discrepancies between the two versions, the Dutch version prevails.
